I am standing for election as Left Unity’s Nominating Officer. The role is to oversee and co-ordinate the systems for internal elections and also to co-ordinate national election campaigns. The Nominating Officer is a member of the Executive Committee.
Why vote for me?
I have been involved with the Left Unity project for almost a year now and am currently the Acting Nominating Officer. I am also Branch Secretary of the West London Left Unity Branch. I have many years experience in the Trade Union movement and am an Honorary Life Member of PCS. I currently work part time for the UCU (University and College Union). I have previous experience of dealing with trade union elections and as a former civil servant I have experience in working for Government in a variety of roles and so am well used to dealing with bureaucratic structures!
Left Unity is active in movements and campaigns across the left, working to create an alternative to the main political parties.

Slow marches are still legal (so LOW RISK of arrest), and are extremely effective. The plan is to keep up the pressure on this ecocidal government to stop all new fossil fuel licences.
