Following the resignation of Bianca Todd as one of Left Unity’s four principal speakers, there will be a by-election for the vacancy.
Because the principal speakers must be at least 50% women, only women are eligible to stand for this position.
The elections timetable is as below:
22 October: Last day to join Left Unity to participate in the election.
23 October: Nominations open. Candidates should submit a 500 word statement to elections@leftunity.org.
12 November: Close of nominations
17 November – 5 December: Voting
See the internal elections page for more information and candidates’ statements.
Left Unity is active in movements and campaigns across the left, working to create an alternative to the main political parties.
