‘We do not need our young people in boot camps’
As the Tories announce ‘boot camps’ for young unemployed people, Felicity Dowling of Left Unity said:
“We do not need our young people in boot camps. We need free university and real, skill-based, well-paid apprenticeships – not punitive measures.
“We need real jobs for social need. We need teachers and teaching assistants, nursery nurses, a good youth service, decent housing and so much more.
“Left Unity will organise relentlessly with young people, their families and the unions to protest this slave labour.”
