Responding to the Labour/Tory row about Trident, Left Unity’s Felicity Dowling said:
“Labour and the Tories are stabbing each other in the back over Trident – but the truth is they agree on it.
“Both parties are committed to spending a huge £100 billion on new nuclear weapons.
“We should scrap Trident immediately and use that money to end austerity.
“It is disgusting that kids are going hungry while vast amounts are spent on nuclear weapons. Their future is being destroyed by the cost – and if the weapons are ever used then there will be no future for any of us.”
