Response to Tony Blair article
Responding to Tony Blair’s comments on the Labour leadership contest, Salman Shaheen of Left Unity said:
“Tony Blair must be worried about the possibility of Jeremy Corbyn’s victory in case he ends up in The Hague on trial for war crimes.
“This is the man who left Iraq to burn, with a million of its people dead. And he talks about cliff edges?
“For Blair, winning elections is everything. But what is the point of the Labour Party if it abstains on the Tories’ brutal welfare bill instead of standing up for the poorest people?
“The Blairites talk of dinosaurs and entryists. Blair is the dinosaur. He is the entryist. He will never be the future again.”
