Refugees welcomed to Greek holiday resort
In sharp contrast to the attitude towards refugees that prevails in British government circles, Greece – despite its own severe economic and social crisis – offers help and support to refugees. This short film shows how a Greek resort that closed during the country’s financial crisis is now home to more than 300 Syrian and Iraqi refugees. The mayor behind the initiative was born in Syria.
