The Environment policy commission is getting off the ground. A meeting has been called for Sunday 1 June from 1pm-5pm in central London to get the commission going. Its at The Cartwright room, Canterbury Hall, Cartwright gardens London WC1H9EE (near Euston and Kings Cross Stations)
The meeting will discuss developing policy on the environment to be voted on the next policy-making conference of Left Unity, whenever that takes place. Sean is drafting an initial policy statement for the meeting, but all are invited to make written submissions to the meeting of they wish.
The meeting will also start to organise and coordinate some practical work around the issues: particularly climate change and fracking.
June is a busy month, which is why we are suggesting a Sunday, and it’s the day after the Campaign Against Climate Change AGM so some people will be in London for that as well.
An e-group has been created for those wishing to be involved – whether or not you can make this particular meeting. If you want to joim the e-group in order to be kept informed about this work, send papers to the meeting or find anything else out email:-
