Jean-Luc Mélenchon: for an alternative to austerity in Europe

One of the leaders of France’s Front de Gauche, Jean-Luc Mélenchon recently visited London and gave a major speech at UCL  in which he discussed the ‘historic failure’ of social democracy and its inability to shape a European Union based on solidarity and social justice.
