Join the local election campaign near you

In the local elections we are standing a dozen candidates across Britain. As this is Left Unity’s first ever election outing, we want to do as well as possible, to show there is space for our new party and the alternative we put forward.

If you can possibly travel to any of the areas below this weekend, please do! Every bit of support these candidates get will hugely help Left Unity’s future.

Wigan will be leafleting Ince ward on Saturday, meeting 10am at Ince Community Centre, Manchester Road, Ince, Wigan WN2 2DJ. It will be leafleting Hindley ward on Sunday, meet 10am at 1 Firs Barn, Firs Barn Crescent, Aspull, Wigan WN2 2SJ. Barnet is leafleting Oakleigh ward on Saturday, meeting 11am at the Sunshine Cafe, 41 East Barnet Road, EN4 8RN, opposite Sainsbury’s. Contact barnet@leftunity.org or Fred on 07941 893212. Nearest rail station is New Barnet, otherwise short bus ride from High Barnet tube. (Everyone in London can get to Barnet!)

Exeter is going on the local May Day demonstration at 12noon, then meeting at 2.30pm to leaflet the Newtown ward at the Globe Inn, 39 Clifton Road, EX1 2BL. Contact exeter@leftunity.org or 07960 664566.

Norwich will be leafleting Crome ward on Friday from 6pm, and will have a stall all day on Sunday for the May Day Party at Chapelfield Park. Contact Karen,norwich@leftunity.org
