We were honoured to have Zehra Khan of the Federation of Homebased Women Workers of Pakistan, one of the most effective of union organisers, joining us for a Zoom discussion recently.
Think you have it hard organising the union at work? Try organising women who work at home, in Pakistan, making goods in their homes for bosses who sell in national and international markets.
The Federation of Home-Based Women Workers has defied the odds and created a union that has won recognition for these women as workers and is able to negotiate with the bosses.
