Left Unity is supporting a protest by Disabled People Against Cuts calling for Lord Freud to resign after his comments that disabled people are not worth the minimum wage.
Protest details: Monday 20 October, 12.30pm to 2.30pm, DWP head office, Caxton House, Tothill St, London SW1H 9NA
Merry Cross of Left Unity said:
“Lord Freud must resign – or be sacked. That’s the message we are bringing to the DWP’s doorstep.
“His comments about disabled people were not an accident and they were not a one-off. He is the architect of the government’s welfare policy and his policies show as much toxic contempt for disabled people as his comments.
“It’s not acceptable to have someone in government who has shown that he thinks disabled people are lesser people. He must go now.”

This Man must go, no matter how well they dress up the excuses, he is renown for his persistent attack along with Iain Duncan smith in persecuting the sick and disabled. He has voiced his opinion based on the conservatives belief. The only reason he hasn’t been sacked is that it would leave Iain Duncan Smith to cock things up even more than he already has and with his ability to bend the truth and trying to battle his way out of those mistruths would stand out like a sore thumb That’s the last thing the Tory’s need before an election.
