Left wing political party Left Unity is supporting a Stop the War protest against bombing Iraq and possibly Syria, ahead of a possible recall of parliament on the issue.
Details: Thursday 25 Sept, outside Downing St, 5.30pm-7.30pm.
Bianca Todd of Left Unity said:
“ISIS is a disgusting, murderous group, but airstrikes are no easy solution. Military action will just mean more death, more suffering and more problems.
“Whatever problem you have, bombing is not the answer. There is no such thing as a ‘humanitarian’ war.
“It was the 2003 invasion of Iraq that in many ways sowed the seeds of ISIS. More war will only lead to even worse consequences further down the line.
“We call on all MPs to vote against authorising any UK military action that is proposed.”
