Left wing political party Left Unity is supporting the national demonstration for Gaza tomorrow (Saturday) – expected to be the biggest ever march on the issue in Britain.
The march will assemble at 12noon outside BBC headquarters in Portland Place to march to Hyde Park.
Bianca Todd from Left Unity said:
“We fully support the demands of the demonstration: for an end to the blockade of Gaza, an end to the arms trade with Israel, and sanctions against Israel until it respects human rights.
“How can David Cameron and other British politicians say they are on the side of peace while Britain continues to sell Israel weapons for its war against the Palestinian people?
“And how can there be peace while Gaza is an open-air prison camp, with people and goods blocked from entering or leaving?
“There may be a ceasefire for the moment, but the only way to end the conflict for good is through freedom and justice for Palestine and respect for our common humanity.”
