Sack Maria Miller – protest
Note that this is not going ahead as Maria Miller has resigned! Left Unity is now calling for Miller to face a full criminal investigation into her expenses.
Left Unity will be at Downing Street tomorrow, Wednesday, from 11.30am to call for Maria Miller to be sacked.
Left Unity principal speaker Bianca Todd said: “The prime minister must sack Maria Miller – and that’s only the start of tackling this culture of corruption in parliament.
“There is one law for MPs and another for the rest of us. It’s gone on too long.
“We are inviting others to join us at Downing Street on Wednesday, just before prime minister’s questions, with placards and a clear demand: Maria Miller must go.”

Why isn’t she in prison, never mind off the front bench ? Given the much smaller amounts of expenses fiddling that some Labour MP’s have done time for ?

People are sick to death of the deeply corrupt nature of British politics and British politicians. There again it has been going on for centuries !!!
If they’re not fiddling their expenses, RIPPING OFF THE TAX PAYER or doing the bidding for BIG business and then they’re raking it in even more once they ‘leave’ politics.
They, who recently awarded themselves an 11% PAY RISE, while telling the rest of us (with a few select exceptions) to take the AusTerity cuts in pay, conditions,services and pensions.
They’re takin’ the bleedin’ piss mate !

Aw, she left before we even got to protest.
Given that Green MP Caroline Lucas was arrested for peacefully protesting against fracking and now faces criminal charges. Why on Earth isn’t Maria Miller arrested and charged with serious fraud for £48,000 embezzlement of public funds? Oops, sorry, just realised, she is a Tory MP!
Ms Miller took the equivalent of 685 weeks (or 13 years) of Job Seekers Allowance!!!
