Branch Organisers day school – 24 October

A workshop on branch organising and building successful campaigns and meetings locally.

Each branch should try and send someone to take part in the discussion. It does not need to be the branch organiser but it would be best if someone involved in organising the branch on a regular basis came along.

Venue: Wesley Hotel, Euston, London, 24 October from 12-5pm

12-1 – introductions and one thing that has gone well for the branch (best practice mind mapping/icebreaker)

1-1.30 lunch

1.30 – 2.30 What should a branch be doing? small group discussions then larger plenary discussion. Mind map ideas to focus on activist branches and good internal communications and making branches inclusive.

2.30-2.45 – tea break

2.45 – 3.45 – Branch Organisers Pack – collective discussion, is it useful? What could be improved?

4 – 5pm going forward – campaigns we can organise and how we can organise better. Final session focussing on what has gone well and what we can improve.
